Running Devil on Your Shoulder?

If you seem to get pain EVERY training cycle, this one's for you.

The fall half and full marathon training cycle is about to begin!! Yippee!!

Except, you're worried about how your body will take the increase in mileage.

Because no matter what you do, something always seems to pop up...

  • After doing long runs past 7-10 miles

  •  After hitting those 20+ mile weeks

  • After buying new shoes
  • After trying every video of exercises from online influencers

And you go into panic mode because here it is AGAIN. Rest days help, but the pain always seems to come back.

If this is the case, it's usually not one isolated problem. Which (sorry)  means there is not one quick-fix solution... Learn more below!

I wish I could say that I know exactly the right solution when you tell me you have knee/hip/foot/ankle/back pain with running.

The reality is that when you tell me that, I just have about 5000 questions pop into my mind on what to ask you about your issue.

Because recovering from an injury is like baking a cake.

Say you want to purchase a chocolate cake from the bakery. As the baker, I need the flour, the sugar, the eggs, etc... I wish I could pull a chocolate cake out of nothing, but that's not how life works (wouldn't that be fun!).

To get results that last, you need the time and the recipe to get there. I'm not a quick-fix solution kind of physical therapist and coach because I want you to have a foundation that withstands the storm.

If that sounds like something you'd want to, but (like me) are stubborn and independent, then that's why I made the Runner's Checklist Course.

Set aside 2 hours this weekend to run through the step-by-step videos I've created to help you self-identify what needs attention and HOW to address it.

As always,

Happy Running!

Do you have a fall race you're gearing up for?  I love the beginning of training for a long distance event. All big hopes, dreams of a cool race morning, motivation at it's peak as you get started!  And... usually no pain :)  Two summers ago I had a dream of making a self-guided course for runners to repeat a series of self-tests or checklist items prior to every half or full marathon training ...

If you've been following along for some time, you know well that in the summer I begin to encourage your Summer of Strength!  The summer is a great time to be focused on building a consistent habit of strength training. Most runners have completed their spring training cycle and are anticipating big fall goals.  The more you do this summer, the more resilient you be against running injuries com...
"That's nice, but when can I run again?"
This is a quote from a new client of mine last month. After explaining the results and findings of his assessment, he got to the point and asked: "That's nice, but when can I run again?"  Sometimes as a clinician I can get wrapped up in clinical reasoning brain and forget the real underlying question. I'm trying to train myself to be better at thinking from the perspective of a runner and helpi...
